Controls
Control Description
Project Display or edit the attributes of the project.
Selected Objects Display or edit the attributes of the selected object.
Tentative Object Display the attributes of the tentatively picked object.
Group items by category Categorise attributes into groups.
Sort items alphabetically Sort attributes alphabetically.
Copy attributes to the clipboard Copy all attributes to the clipboard in HTML format.
Details Panel Toggle on and off the details panel that displays the description of the selected attribute.
Manage project attribute definitions Manage Project attribute definitions.
Insert a new attibute Insert a new attribute.
Insert multiple attributes Insert multiple attributes.
Edit the selected items Edit attribute values for the selected objects by:
  • Adding an offset to numerical values
  • Adding a prefix or suffix to a text value
  • Re-numbering a text value that contains a number

If multiple objects are selected, attributes can be edited at one time when all the criteria below are satisfied:

  • Objects are the same type
  • Objects are on the same layer
  • Attributes have the same name and are the same type.

If multiple objects are selected and are on different layers, only predefined system attributes can be edited at one time.
Delete the selected items Delete the attribute from all selected objects.
Find the attribute with the name Enter the characters to search for in the attribute name. Useful when there are many attributes.
Categories

Object properties are grouped in categories. The following predefined categories may display depending on the object selected.
Notes
  • Some system properties displayed in the Attributes tool cannot be edited and are for information only. e.g. Unique Id, Type, Line Length, Polygon Area etc.
  • For viewports, only properties apply. Insert a new attibute and Insert multiple attributes are disabled.
