Requirements

A selected object.

General Attributes

The type of object selected will determine the general attributes displayed.

Attribute Description
Name Displays the name of the object if a name attribute has been created.
Unique Id The unique identifier of the selected object.
Type The type of object selected.
Layer The layer in which the object has been placed.
Layer Description The description of the objects layer when available.
Reference File Name Displays the reference file name that the selected data belongs to.
Source The original source of the object.
Use in Terrain Model Configure if a selected object is used in the creation of a terrain model:
  • No - The object will not be used.
  • Yes - The object will be used.
  • By Layer - The object will be used if its layer's property, Use in Terrain Model, is configured to Yes.
Breakline Configure if a line or polygon object is considered a breakline or a boundary when it is included in a terrain model:
  • No - Lines or polygons are not considered a breakline.
  • Yes - Lines or polygons are considered a breakline.
  • Boundary - Polygons are considered a boundary.
Note:
  • This setting is only applicable if objects are selected during the creation of a terrain model and are configured to be used in the terrain model.
Contour Configure if a line is a contour:
  • Major - The lines is a major contour.
  • Minor - The lines is a minor contour.
  • None - The line is not a contour.
Note:
  • You can create contour text for lines that are contours.
  • This control is hidden if the line is not a contour. Use the Modify Convert tool to convert a line to be a contour.
Block Definition The block definition used to create the block.
Type The type of text.
Notes
  • Change the name of the name attribute in the layer definition.
  • Edit the Layer Description in the Layer tool or Layer dialog.
  • Modifying an object can affect the source.
