Control Description
Alignment Velocity View or edit the design velocity for the alignment. This is used when a Horizontal Standard other than 'None' is selected.
Horizontal Standard Select the horizontal standard used to compute the curves at the horizontal intersection points.
Notes
  • On the Alignment tab, in the Design group, click Horizontal Standards Standards to create, edit or view the horizontal design standard.
  • Selecting 'None' for the horizontal standard will disconnect the alignment from the standard. Any edits to the horizontal standard will not generate new geometry.
  • Editing the selected horizontal design standard, or selecting a different horizontal standard, will automatically generate new geometry for the alignment. On the Alignment tab, in the Properties group, click Horizontal Intersection Points Intersection Points to review the intersection points and ensure that curves could be created using the new design standard.
  • If the selected horizontal standard is changed from 'None' to a project horizontal standard, the curve computation uses the Radius curve computation method and the radius of the curve at the alignments intersection point, to determine an appropriate velocity and a suitable curve length when the new geometry is generated.
  • When a horizontal standard is applied to an alignment the alignment will always start and end with straight.
