Techniques |
Create straight segments using the following techniques.
Create circular arc segments using the following techniques.
Create transition curves segments using the following techniques.
|
Controls |
The controls available is dependent upon the technique used.
Control |
Description |
OK |
Compute the vertex location for the current alignment segment. |
End |
Ends the current alignment and stores it in the project. |
Back |
Remove the last vertex from the current alignment. |
Abort |
Cancel the creation of the alignment. |
|
Notes |
- Alignments are created on the active layer.
- The Appearance Attributes of the alignment are set by the layer however you can click the Attributes tab to override the appearance.
- Intersection points are automatically created.
- You can hide intersection points and circular arc centres in the display options.
- Click the Components tab prior to clicking OK to view the components of a circular arc.
- In the Create Options, configure the Alignment Velocity and the Horizontal Standard to automatically create curves and combined curves that comply with the design parameters as you create the alignment.
- Some create alignment tools are disabled if you apply a horizontal standard in the create options.
