Control |
Description |
Name |
Type a name for the first point or generated object, or click to increment to the next available name. |
Linear Object |
Select one of the following when creating points:
|
Start |
Input the start vertex for the circular arc. |
Centre |
Input the centre vertex for the circular arc. |
End |
Input the end vertex for the circular arc. |
Distance |
For points, input the recurring distance along the linear object.
For circular arcs, select one of the following modes to input the segment distance.
- Arc Distance - Input the arc segment distance.
- Chord Distance - Input the chord segment distance.
|
Offset |
Input an offset from the line or reference line if required. |
3D circular arc |
When creating circular arcs do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox to compute the circular arc segments in 3 dimensions.
- Clear the checkbox to compute the circular arc segments in 2 dimensions.
|
Clockwise |
Specify the direction of the arc:
- Select the checkbox to draw the arc in a clockwise direction.
- Clear the checkbox to draw the arc in an anticlockwise direction.
|
Create points at key vertices |
When specifying an existing linear object to create the points, do one of the following:
-
Select the checkbox to create points at the:
- Start and end of each segment.
- Start and end of each circular arc.
- Vertices of a spline.
- Specified distance along the line.
- Clear the box to only add points at the specified distance along the line.
|
Skip vertices with points |
For points, if you input a '0' Offset do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox to only create points for vertices in a line if a point does not already exist at that location.
- Clear the box to always create new points.
|
Insert points into object |
When creating points, if an editable line is selected and you input a '0' Offset do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox to create points and insert vertices from the created points into the selected lines or alignments.
- Clear the box to create points at the specified interval without editing the selected line or alignment.
Note:
- You can create points for transition curves or splines but they can not be inserted into the line.
