Setting |
Description |
Curve Tolerance |
Type the maximum offset distance from a line to the chord between adjacent vertices in the line. Use this value to control the smoothness of circular arcs, transition curves and splines that need to be output as straight line segments.
Note:
- Use this value to control the smoothness of circular arcs, transition curves and splines that need to be approximated in order to compute values for created objects.
|
Automatically Segment Lines |
Do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox to create a separate line for all line segments in the current line sequence.
- Clear the box to include all line segments in the current line sequence in a single line.
Note:
- Methods that create multiple line segments in a single action do not consider this setting.
- Lines created from code processing will also be segmented when the option is selected.
|
Start Chainage |
Type the chainage at the start of created alignments. |
Alignment Velocity |
Type the default alignment velocity for created and imported alignments. This is used when applying horizontal design standards to the alignment. |
Horizontal Standard |
Select one of the following to be the default horizontal standard for created alignments:
- None - A horizontal design standard will not be applied.
- Horizontal Alignment Standard - Select one of the projects horizontal alignment standards to use in conjunction with the Alignment Velocity when creating alignments using the Existing Vertex, Bearing and Distance or Freehand methods.
Note:
- If you select a horizontal standard some alignment creation tools will be disabled.
