Notes |
- You can create polygons from a line containing straights, circular arcs, transition curves or splines.
- You can create alignments from continuous lines that contain straights, 2D circular arcs and transition curves.
- If the bounds of the polygon consists of multiple lines, continue to pick the lines until the polygon boundary is formed. You can pick a line if it shares a vertex with the start or end of the line being formed.
- Click End to create the alignment or polygon.
- The polygon is created automatically when you pick a closed line or select a line that closes back onto the first line.
- Tentatively pick a closed line from the model view to view the name or id of the line that will be used to create the alignment or polygon then accept the selection to automatically create the object.
- You can not use a line that intersects itself to create a polygon.
- When keying in the name or id of a closed line, click OK to create the polygon.
- The 2d or 3d setting for a circular arc segment in a line is preserved when a polygon is created.
- When creating an alignment, this tool is available providing the horizontal design standard in the create options is configured to 'None'.
