Contour Text Style (Position)

Description

Edit the text position properties of a contour text style.
Access

Manage / Configuration / Text / Styles / Contour / Insert a new item or Edit selected item / Position

Controls
Control Description
Offset Type the distance from the contour line to the text as a ratio of the text size. A negative value indicates to place the text below the line.
End Offset Type the distance from the start or end of the contour line to the text as a ratio of the text size. Note:
  • Input a positive distance.
  • This setting is applicable for text created at either end of the line.
Uphill text orientation Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to orientate the text so that it is readable in the uphill direction.
  • Clear the checkbox to orientate the text so that it is readable from the south/east direction.
Notes
  • Contour text is rotated based on the direction of the line.
  • The End Offset is applied in a negative direction from the start of the line and a positive direction from the end of the line.
