- Text styles are used when creating text objects or drawing text.
- Text styles control the appearance of text.
- Editing a text style will result in all text objects that use the style being updated.
- Editing a text style which is used by text on a locked layer may change the appearance of the text.
- You can override the appearance that text inherits from a style by editing the text Appearance controls in the Attributes tool window.
- If you override the appearance of text that uses a text style the Update Appearance checkbox in the Attributes tool window is cleared automatically. Select the checkbox to revert back to using the appearance configured in the text style.
