Description |
| OK |
Compute the location for the current long section segments. |
| End |
Ends the current long section and stores it in the project. |
| Back |
Remove the last segment from the long section. |
| Abort |
Cancel the creation of the long section. |
When using informative mouse pointers:
| Mouse Pointer |
Description |
|
Insertion Mode - Click the location of the intersection point in the long section view. |
 |
Edit Mode - An editable control will inherit its value from the vertex you click in the model view. |
|
Not Allowed - Move to the long section region in the long section view. |
|
| Notes |
- The methods available is dependent on the active view.
- Long sections are defined by vertical intersection points. Vertical intersection points are defined by a distance/chainage along the alignment and a height.
- Long sections are created on the active layer unless otherwise specified.
- Only intersection points (grade points) are created using the create tool. Use the Modify tool to insert curves at intersection points.
- Long section grade points created using the Create tool are assigned a Source Type 'Computed'.
- Long sections must be within the extents of the horizontal alignment assigned to the long section view.
- There is no shared topology with vertical intersection points. You can create another point at the same location but they will be independent of each other.
