Configure the droplines displayed in a long section view.

| Dropline Options | Description |

| By Layer | Do one of the following to configure which droplines are displayed for a selected long section in a long section view:

| Droplines | Description |
| Section Marker | Select the checkbox to include droplines from section markers. |
| Horizontal Key Points | Select the checkbox to include droplines from the start and end vertices in the horizontal alignment, and at the start and end or each straight, circular arc or transition curve. |
| Vertical Key Points | Select the checkbox to include droplines from the start and end point in a long section, and at any change of grade or transition points. Note:

| Vertical Sag/Crest Points | Select the checkbox to include droplines from the lowest or highest point on a vertical curve. |
| Isolated Points | Select the checkbox to include droplines from isolated points that do not define the geometry of a line. Note:

| Custom Interval | Type the interval to display any additional droplines. |
| Dropline Source | Description |
| Point Offset | Select the checkbox to include droplines for vertical key points or isolated points in a long section, computed from points offset from the alignment. Note:

| Line Intersection | Select the checkbox to include droplines for vertical key points or isolated points computed from a line intersection. Note:

| Line Offset | Select the checkbox to include droplines for vertical key points or isolated points computed from lines offset from the alignment. Note:

| Polygon Intersection | Select the checkbox to include droplines for vertical key points or isolated points computed from a polygon intersection. Note:

| Terrain Model Intersection | Select the checkbox to include droplines for vertical key points or isolated points computed from a terrain model intersection. Note:

| Point Cloud Offset | Select the checkbox to include droplines for vertical key points or isolated points computed from point cloud points offset from the alignment. Note:

- Use the dropline and dropline source display options that you set for the layer, or in the Attributes tool window, click
in the Droplines control to override the layer settings. - For droplines to be displayed at long section vertical key points and isolated points, both the points type and Source Type must be selected. Long section points whose Source Type is not included in the Dropline Source category will always be displayed providing the point type is selected in the Droplines category.
- Custom droplines and section marker droplines are displayed regardless of the point type and point Source Type.
- Droplines for Vertical Key Points and Vertical Sag/Crest Points are only displayed if a height, height difference, chainage or distance row is displayed in the long section view.
- The rounding for chainage and distance rows in a long section view is used as a tolerance to filter duplicate droplines.
- Values are computed for all visible droplines in the long section view.
- Click the Display tab, in the long section views Properties, to change the appearance of the droplines.
- The droplines displayed for the long section view will be the same as those displayed in the long sections viewport.
