Create by Freehand (Long Section)

Description

Create a long sections vertical intersection points at the height of the mouse pointer.

Description

Name

Type a name for the created long section or click Next auto incremented name

to use the next available auto incremented name.
Note:

Use name as layer

Do one of the following:

Select the checkbox to place the long section on a layer with the same name as the long section.
Clear the checkbox to place the long section on the active layer.

Note:

Place each long section on a different layer so you can control which long sections are visible in the long section view.
If a new layer is created it is given the same settings as the layer template. If a layer template has not been specified the active layer settings are used as the default.

Notes

Click the location of the intersection point in the long section region of the long section view then click End to accept the location of the intersection points and create the long section.
Click to discontinue the creation of the long section and return to the select mode.
Press Esc to discontinue the creation of the long section.
To create an intersection point at the same location as an existing point, press Ctrl, then tentatively pick an existing intersection point and click to accept.
Use the Modify Curve tool to insert circular or parabolic curves at vertical intersection points.
