Create text objects to label the heights of contour lines at a specified distance along the line.

The following controls are available:

| Style | Select the style to use for the text. |
| Distance | Input the distance between text objects along a contour line. |
| Create text at line ends | Select the checkbox to create additional text at the start and end of each contour line. Note:

- Click OK to create text on the selected contours.
- Press and hold Alt then select
All 
/ Major Contour Lines or All / Minor Contour Lines to select contours on the active layers. - Create text so that it is readable either in the uphill direction or the south/east direction using the Uphill text orientation setting in the text styles position settings.
- Contour text is created parallel to the contour line.
- The End Offset is applied in a negative direction from the start of the line and a positive direction from the end of the line.
- You can use the text styles display settings to create text with a background colour the same as the project background. This gives the give the effect of the line being clipped to the text without altering the length of the line.
