Access |
Home / Tools / Create / Point / Bearing and Distance Intersection
Home / Tools / Create / Line or Polygon / Straight or Spline / Bearing and Distance Intersection
|
Requirements |
- Solve module
- Design module (Alignments with horizontal design standards)

Controls |
The following controls are available:
Control |
Description |
Name |
Type the name to assign to the created object or click to use the next available auto incremented name. |
From |
Input the from vertex (V1) for the bearing. |
Bearing |
Input the bearing from the first From vertex.
Note:
|
From |
Input the from vertex (V2) for the distance. |
Distance |
Input the distance (D) from the second From vertex.
Note:

Description |
The computation has no solution |
A solution can not be found that satisfies all requirements. Ensure there is an intersection between the bearing, distance an height method specified. |

Notes |
- The Direction Type determines the name of the bearing control.
- The Distance Type determines the name of the distance control.
- If a plane coordinate system is selected for the project some of the direction and distance options will not be available.
- When creating alignments, in the Create Options, configure the Alignment Velocity and the Horizontal Standard to automatically create curves and combined curves at intersection points that comply with the design parameters.
