Create a Long Section

Create new long sections by various modes.

Tools available for creating long sections:

• Chainage and Height
• Distance and Grade
• Existing Point
• Freehand
• Grade and Height
• Grade and Intersection
• Height
• Object Intersection
• Offset Range

• Long sections are created on the active layer unless otherwise specified.
• You can create an object on a locked layer.
• You can create an object on an invisible layer.
• Long sections with only isolated points will only display in the long section view. Other long sections are visible and selectable in both the Model view (Plan or 3D) and in a long section view.
• Point only long sections can only be exported to LISCAD.
• Long sections must contain at least one isolated point or 2 vertical intersection points.
