Edit a Grade Text Style (General)

Description

Edit the general settings for a grade text style.
Access

Manage / Configuration / Text / Styles / Grade / Insert a new item or Edit selected item / General
Controls
Control Description
Name Type the name for the style.
Description Type the description for the style.
Type Select how the grade is displayed.
  • Percentage - Display the grade as percentage
  • Ratio - Display the grade as ratio
  • Angle - Display the grade as an angle measured from horizontal.
Unit Select the angular unit when the grade is displayed as an angle.
Format Specify the parameters to insert in the text object using the following notation:
  • Type ❴0❵ to insert the computed Grade. (Required)
Note:
  • You can insert additional text to be displayed with the linked text objects.
  • Multi-line text is supported.
Segment based Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to create text for every straight segment of a line or alignment.
  • Clear the box to create text once for the line or alignment.
Notes
  • Grade text styles are used to create linked text objects that display the grade of alignments, lines or pipes, or between two vertices.
  • Clear the Segment based checkbox to compute the grade using the vertices at either end of the line or alignment and the total length of the object.
  • Use the Modify Reverse tool to reverse the line and compute the grade in the opposite direction.
