Description

Import data in the Linz Landonline LandXML format.

Access

Home / Data / Import / Linz Landonline

Requirements
  • Xchange LandXML module
  • A project created using the Linz Landonline template
Options

The following properties control the import.

Option Description
Name Format Add a prefix and suffix to import marks, lines and parcels to layers that will not exported when a Linz Landonline file is exported from the project.
Note:
  • New layers are created based on the layer suitable for the object type.
  • {0} imports the data onto the appropriate Linz Landonline layers.
  • Only use this setting to give you control over which portion of data you want to place on the defined export layers.
Layers

The defined layers in the Linz Online template includes the following layers:

Layer Description
{0}_Marks Survey monument points where {0} is the monuments purpose.
Non Boundary_Marks Monument points that are not survey marks.
Non Survey_Marks Survey monument points with no purpose.
Observation_Lines Lines created from the points referenced in reduced observations that are not linked to parcels.
Observation Parcel_Lines Lines from parcels that are linked to reduced observations.
Parcel_Lines Lines from parcels that are not linked to a reduced observation.
Irregular Parcel_Lines Irregular Lines from parcels that are not linked to a reduced observation.
{0}_Parcels Polygons created from parcels where {0} is the parcels class.
Notes
  • Use this import option with the system Linz Landonline template.
  • You can import points, reduced observations, lines (straights and 2d arcs) and parcels from the Landxml file.
  • Points linked to survey monuments are placed on mark layers according to their purpose.
  • Points linked to monuments only are placed on 'Non Survey-Marks' layer.
  • Line geometry is created from the existing CGPoint coordinates. The reduced observations are imported but not used to recompute the coordinates of the points.
  • Polygons are created from CGpoints referenced in the parcels and are place on parcel layers according to their class.
  • Attributes that match the objects layer definition are imported.
  • If you are importing marks or parcels whose purpose or class does not match the existing layers, a new layer is created. You can specify a layer template to control the settings of the new layer. The data on these layers must be relocated to one of the defined LINZ Landonline layers if you want it exported.
  • If you are importing irregular lines, it is recommended that you use the Modify Filter tool to filter vertices.
