Control	Description
Style	Select the text style to use for the text.
From	Input the reference line from which the bearing or distance comparison will be computed.
Bearing	Type the bearing to which the bearing comparison will be computed.
Distance	Type the distance to which the distance comparison will be computed.
Note	Type an optional note to include with the combined text. This control is unavailable if the note property is not included in the text styles format.

Notes

Select a combined text style intended for bearings and distances.
Create new text styles in Manage Text Styles.
Within the text style, you can define the inclusion of:
- From and To Bearing
- From and to Distance
- Difference in Bearing and Distance
- Note
Type the Bearing value in the Angular units specified for the project.
Type the Distance value in the Linear units specified for the project.
Type the Bearing and Distance values you want used in the calculation. (These values are typeless and conversions to other direction and distance types is not mathematically possible.).
The Note control is available when a Note property is included in the selected text styles format.
Created text displays:
- bearings using the angular Units, Rounding and direction Type (when applicable) specified for the bearing properties in the text style.
- distances using the Units, Rounding and Distance Type (when applicable) specified for the distance properties in the text style.
Differences are computed using the direction and distance type specified for the Difference Bearing and Difference Distance properties in the text style.
Text objects are dynamically updated if either of the vertices defining the reference line are modified.
Text is deleted if the intended purpose of the text style is changed from Bearing and Distance.
The text object's position is relative to the object or reference line.

Possible Errors

Errors or Warnings	Description	Recommended Action
!!!Error!!!	The text value cannot be computed for the linked object.	Check the format for the properties in the text style is appropriate for the object the text is linked to and the current project settings.
The selected style has a different type to the configured project units.	The Distance Type and Direction Type configured in the Unit Options is different to Distance Type and Type specified in the Text Style.	Since computations are performed on Bearing and Distance values that do not have an associated distance or direction type it is recommended you specify the same types for the project and the text styles. If you require the types to be different you should do the following: Type the Bearing value for the direction Type specified for the Difference Bearing property in the selected text style. Type the Distance value for the Distance Type specified for the Difference Distance property in the selected text style.
