Template Implementation Set Editor

(This functionality is available with the Profiles and Design Module)

The Template Implementation Set Editor is the controlling dialog for setting up all the parameters required to apply templates to the primary control alignment to produce a set of design cross sections.

The Template Implementation Set Editor can be accessed from the Plan View Profiles Task / Profiles / Template Implementation, or by pressing the Template lmplementation Set Editor toolbar button.

Alternatively a new Template Implementation Set can be created from the Section Manager by using the right hand mouse button to click on either a long section or cross section set. This will activate the popup menu. Select Create Template Implementation Set. Creating a new Template Implementation Set from the Section Manager will use the selected Long or Cross Section Set as the vertical control for the Template Implementation Set.

If you want to edit a Template Implementation Set directly from the Section Manager, expand the Alignments/Sections tree until the required Template Implementation Set has been located off the controlling Long or Cross Section Set. Use the right hand mouse button to click on the Template Implementation Set. This will activate the popup menu. Select Edit Template Implementation Set.

Implementation Set	Select the Template Implementation Set from the drop down list you want to edit. If you have selected which set you want to edit from the Section Manager the correct set will have been loaded. If you have elected to create a new Template Implementation Set from the Section Manager this field will be blank. (Refer to the Save As button below to assign a name to this set.)
Control Parameters	Opens the Attach Templates dialog box to determine which templates to attach at which locations along the control.
Match Intersecting Surfaces	Opens the Match Intersecting Surfaces dialog box to enable the generic surface names in the template library to be matched with real surfaces in the current data set.
Modifications	Opens the Modifications dialog box to enable changes to be made to the templates as they are applied.
Output Parameters	Opens the Output Parameters dialog box to set the chainages that the design cross sections are to be generated for, to determine how the design cross sections are to be applied with respect to existing cross sections and the colour and line style to apply to the design surface.
Open Cross Section in	Select which cross section window the new design cross section set should be opened in after creation. Select from the following options: Do not open New Cross Section Window One of the current listed cross section windows
Cross Section Set name	Enter the name to be given to the design cross section set when it is created.
Apply Template Implementation Set	Applies all the templates and creates a new design cross section set. If the cross section set already exists you will be asked to Overwrite or Append. If you have asked it to open the cross section set in an existing window and the cross sections displayed in this window do not share the same control line as the design sections being created, the design cross section set will be created and the selected window will be displayed, but the design cross section set will not be able to be opened in this window.
Save	Saves the current implementation set. This button is disabled if you are creating a new Template Implementation Set and the Implementation Set field is empty. If this is the case use the Save As button.
Save As	Used to save a new Template Implementation Set or to make a copy of the current set to a new name. Enter a valid set name. Template Implementation Set names can be up to 256 characters and cannot contain the following characters "/?*\
Delete	Deletes the current Template Implementation Set. Asks for confirmation before deleting.
Close	Closes the Template Implementation Set Editor. If editing has been carried out a dialog box will ask if the changes are to be saved.
