Text Style (Position)

Description

Edit the position properties of a chainage text style.
Access

Manage / Configuration / Text / Styles / Chainage / Insert a new item or Edit selected item / Position

Controls
Control Description
Offset Type the perpendicular distance from the alignment that the texts vertex is to be placed as a ratio of the text size.
Distance Offset Type an additional distance along the alignments segment that the texts vertex is to be placed as a ratio of the text size.
Note:
  • A positive Distance Offset value is applied in the direction of the alignment.
Rotation Type the rotation angle of the text in relation to the direction of the alignment.
Increase chainage orientation Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to orientate text relative to the alignment direction.
  • Clear the checkbox to display the text so that it reads from south to east.
Notes
  • A positive Offset value indicates the text will be placed to the left of the alignment.
  • If a negative offset is specified, you should change the text alignment to middle right.
  • If the Increase chainage orientation checkbox is cleared, it may be necessary to change the alignment of the text to middle right.
