Controls |
The following controls are available:
Control |
Description |
Style |
Select the text style to use for the text. |
Mode |
Single Vertex - Operate on a single vertex.
Selected Objects - Operate on all vertices of the selected objects.
|
Object |
Input the line or alignment to orthogonally project the vertex in 2 dimensions to. |
Vertex |
Input a vertex to create text for.
Note:
- If the Mode is set to Selected Objects this control is unavailable.
|
Project start/end segments |
Select the checkbox to consider offsets to reference lines projected from the start or end of the line or alignment. |
|
Notes |
-
Create offset text for:
- A single vertex - Text is created automatically when a valid vertex is picked.
- A selection of vertices - Select OK to create text for all valid vertices in the current selection.
- Offset text objects are dynamically updated if the object or vertex is moved.
- Where the geometry of the line or alignment allows multiple solutions, the text with the smallest offset is created.
- The offset displayed is 2 dimensional.
- Only straight segments can be projected.
