(This functionality is available with the Survey Live module)
Used to specify coding information.
Note that different commands are available depending on whether Survey Live was last configured for Total Station or GNSS instrument type.
The Survey Coding page is accessed from the Survey activity.
Survey Live/Survey/Coding page
Item | Used to |
Point ID: | Enter the Point ID for the next point to be created. |
Target Height: | Enter the target height above the point.
(Only available for Total Station instrument type) |
Antenna Height: | Enter the antenna height above the point.
(Only available for GNSS instrument type) |
Target | Select the target from the Configure Targets page. Note: The icon will change dependent on which target is currently selected. (Only available for Total Station instrument type) |
PowerSearch | Initiate Power Search on the total station.
This option is only
available if the instrument is
Power Search capable and will not be
available if the configured Target is Reflectorless. (Only available for Total Station instrument type) |
Feature Code: | Select the feature code to be used for subsequent observations. The feature code will be set for Points, Lines & Polygons. The feature codes may be separately set for points, lines and polygons by using the usual LISCAD code lists or attribute commands. Refer to coding concepts for more information. |
Display the Point Attributes dialog to view or edit the point code or attributes.
Display the Line Attributes dialog to view or edit the line code or attributes.
Symbol Dim 1: | Enter the dimension 1 of the symbol. If this is left blank, the dimension set in Point Attributes will be used. Note: This option will only be visible if Config/Survey "Show Point Dimension Fields" is checked and the point has a symbol defined in the Point Attributes dialog. |
Symbol Dim 2: | Enter dimension 2 of the symbol. If this is left blank, the dimension set in Point Attributes will be used. Note: This option will only be visible if Config/Survey "Show Point Dimension Fields" is checked and the point has a symbol defined in the Point Attributes dialog. |
Point Desc: | Enter the description of the point to be observed. If this is left blank, the dimensions set in Point Attributes
will be used. Note: This option will only be visible if Config/Survey "Show Point Description Field" is checked. |
Construct: | Select a linear object construction technique. The different
options available are: None - no lines are constructed and only points are created. Start a straight* - construct a line string starting with the next point. Extend a linear object** - extend an existing linear object with the next observed points. Note you cannot extend a line that is part of a polygon. Alignments may only be extended by selecting their end point. Start a spline* - construct a spline starting with the next point. Start a 3 point arc* - Construct a 3 point arc starting with the next point. Symbol from 3 points* - define the symbol size using next 3 points (dimm 1 from first 2). As defined by codetable* - use the code table stringable option to control line construction. Note: * When these methods are selected, the "Existing Point ID" field is enabled. ** When this method is selected, both the "Existing Point ID" and "Existing Line ID" fields are enabled. - If "As defined by codetable" is used, the "Existing Point ID" field is only enabled if the code table stringable option is selected |
End | End the currently running construction. |
Existing Point ID: | Select an existing Point ID to be used in the construction. Note: This is only available when an applicable construct method is selected. |
Existing Line ID: | Select an existing Line ID to be used in the construction. Note: This is only available when "Extend a linear object" construction is selected |
