LISCAD Code Table Lists : Concepts

Code Table list boxes can be added to the toolbar from Configure/Toolbars dialog and then Customise/General.

Code Table Lists can be used to quickly and easily change the currently set codes for points, lines, text and polygons. Simply click on the arrow on the right to show the full list of all available codes from the currently set Code Table, then select the code you require. This code then displays in the box and is the currently set code.

Therefore any points, lines, polygons or text created, will be created with these codes.

If the code is showing in black, this indicates that the currently set code's attributes are exactly the same as what is set in the codetable.

In the example shown below all are black and therefore, all attributes are the same as in the codetable.

Toolbar Code List

If the code is showing in red, this indicates that some of the attributes of the code have been changed, and are not the same as what is set in the codetable.

In the example below, point attributes and polygon attributes for the code INV are showing in red which indicates that the INV code attributes for points and polygons have been changed and are not the same as what is set in the codetable.

Toolbar Code List Changed

In the example above you will also note that the "All Codes" list is also showing in red. This list is slightly different to the others in that it reflects the other code lists and how they are set.

If any of the other codes are red (have had their attributes changed), then the "All Codes" list will also show in red, as in the above example.

But also the "All Codes" list shows in red when the point, line, polygon and text codes are not set to the same code. As shown in the example below, the polygon code has been changed to PATH and therefore the "All Codes" list shows in red.

The "All Codes" list can also be used to quickly select the same code for points, lines, polygons and text. Simply select the code you require from the "All Codes" list, and all the other lists will automatically update to the code you selected.
