Exaggeration | Select whether any exaggerated lines which may exist in the data
base are to have their exaggeration factors applied in the drawing of
the CAD file. If this check box is active, then the end point of any exaggerated line will be moved away from the start point of the line by the lines exaggeration factor. Refer to the exaggeration factor in the Attributes/Line Command |
Use Default for All | Force the system to use the default code settings made in the Settings/Codes command for all codes. |
Use rounded dimensions | Select whether the rounding attributes set in the data base are
to be applied in the computation of the polygon area. This check box
is only active if Rounding has been selected. Refer to the Rounding and Precision topic. |
Layer Name as Group | Set that the group attribute will be used as the CAD layer name, regardless of the layer settings made in the CAD Output/Settings/Codes command. |
Attribute Offset Factors | |
When exporting to a CAD system, two values determine the relative
positions between points and lines and their associated text (e.g. Point
Id, Elevation, Code, Bearing, Distance etc.). The defaults for these two values have been set by experimentation and are generally satisfactory when exporting to CAD systems. However the determination of these values has been dependent on a clear knowledge of the font characteristics of the text being used in the target CAD system. This is not always the case and LISCAD can often only approximate the text dimensions. In these cases, changing these values may improve the appearance of the CAD drawing. |
|
Point (Multiplying) | Attributes of a point have a minimum offset from the point for associated
text, and the multiplying factor is applied to this offset. The multiplying
factor is entered in 1/00ths. The default of 142 (1.42), is approximately
the square root of 2. If you have a square symbol of size 1.0 at a point,
this default value represents a circle around the point whose diameter
is equal to the diagonal of the square. A multiplying factor of less than 10 should not be set. |
Line (Fixed) | The line offset factor is also entered in 1/00ths of a unit. In this case as the value is fixed length, the offset units are in 1/00ths of a millimeter. The default is 150 (1.5mm) and there is no minimum restriction as this value is simply the physical offset of the text from its associated line. |
Symbols & Line Styles | |
Default Symbols | Select the default symbols. Refer to the Default Symbol dialog box. |
Lookup Files | Select the lookup files to be used for matching: LISCAD line styles to AutoCAD line styles; LISCAD symbols to AutoCAD blocks. Refer to the Lookup File Settings dialog box. |
Ambiguous Distances | |
Unit | Show the unit letter(s) at the end of ambiguous distances. For example, 6 or 9 metres will appear as 6m or 9m respectively. |
Underline | Place a line under ambiguous distances. |
MicroStation Tab | |
Use Seed File | Activate the Seed File edit field and Browse button. For export to MicroStation V7 DGN files, the seed file is required, hence this needs to be ticked. This is optional however for MicroStation V8 DGN files, where a seed file is not required. |
Seed File | Key in the name of the MicroStation seed file to be used, or display
the seed file selected by browsing. The seed file must be a MicroStation DGN file, the co-ordinate range of which must match the co-ordinate range of the SEE data file you are working with. For MicroStation V7, the seed file is required to determine the structure of the CAD file to be created and also whether it is to be two or three dimensional. |
Browse | Open a dialog to browse for the required seed file. |
Cell Library | Key in the name of the MicroStation cell library to be used, or
display the cell library selected by browsing. The cell library must be a MicroStation CEL file. The cell library displayed is used when a symbol lookup file is selected to match LISCAD symbols with MicroStation cells. |
Use Cell Library | Activate the Cell Library edit field and Browse button. |
Browse | Open a dialog to browse for the required cell library. |
Symbology Resource | Key in the name of the MicroStation symbology resource (RSC) to be used, or
display the symbology resource selected by browsing. The symbology resource must be a MicroStation RSC file, or a collection of RSC files in a directory, via the use of a wildcard symbol (e.g. *.rsc) The symbology resource displayed is used to match both fonts and line styles stored in the resource with LISCAD fonts and line styles, when the appropriate lookup file is selected. |
Use Symbology Resource | Activate the Symbology Resource edit field and Browse button. |
Browse | Open a dialog to browse for the required Symbology Resource. |
Level Name as Group | For MicroStation V8 DGN export, sets that the group attribute will be used as the CAD level name, regardless of the layer settings made in the CAD Output/Settings/Codes command. |
Entities BYLEVEL | For MicroStation V8 DGN export, enables the user to export all objects onto a levelling system as defined in MicroStation. |
3 Dimensional | For MicroStation V8 DGN export, select whether the file is to be three dimensional. If the check box is not active then a two dimensional CAD file will be created. This is disabled if a seed file is to be used, since the seed file governs the dimensions of the CAD file created. |
Export Images | For MicroStation V8 DGN export, select whether background images are to be exported. If the check box is active, any currently displayed background images will be exported to MicroStation as an external attachment. Exported images will be saved as PNG image files. |
Scale Linestyles | Select this option to scale the linestyles according to the scale
set in the Output dialog.
For example, if the scale is 1:500 the linestyles will be scaled by a factor of 0.2;
if the scale is 1:100 the linestyles will have a scale factor of 1.
If the option is not selected, the linestyles will not be scaled (i.e. scale factor 1).
|
3D Arcs as: | Select whether arcs which have 3 dimensional points are to be exported to MicroStation as 3D arcs, 3D splines or 3D polylines. |
Default Elev: | Enter the elevation to be used for 2D objects when creating a 3D MicroStation file. This is only available if the 3 Dimensional option is active. |
Use SEE Symbol colour for Cells: | Choose whether to use the LISCAD point colour or the MicroStation object colours as defined in the above selected MicroStation cell library. If not using a cell library, the cells created will automaticallly have their objects coloured the same as the relevent LISCAD points. |
User Data Tab | |
Allows the MicroStation user data structure and format
to be defined for elements to be created in the MicroStation DGN file.
If MicroStation is selected in the CAD Output/Settings Menu, then this dialog box can be selected via the User Data property page tab in the Cad Output/Output/Options command. |
|
Output User Data | Attach user data to the DGN file. |
User ID | Key in the User Data Identifier value (positive integer) required
by the target installation. Obtain this value from the person for whom the DGN file is being created. This item is always included in the user data as the second word in the MicroStation user data area. |
Other Data | Enter other. This field is activated when the Other option in the Format group has been selected. |
Format This group is used to set the Size (in bytes) and Order of the user data that follows the first two words of the user data. These items are Identifier, Code, Description and Other. The combined size of the user data area is rounded up to the nearest multiple of four words. To exclude an item of user data, the order number should be set to zero. |
|
Identifier | Select whether the point and line identifiers are to be included in the user data. |
Code | Select whether the feature codes are to be included in the user data. |
Description | Select whether the descriptions are to be included in the user data. |
