Set CAD Output Legend

(This functionality is available with the Input / Output module)

Defines the format and appearance of a legend which may be passed out to a CAD file via the CAD Output/Output command.

Only the first occurrence of each different symbol, line style and polygon hatching passed to the CAD file will be listed in the legend. The description associated with that first occurrence of each symbol, line style and polygon hatching will also be listed in the legend. The colour number of each symbol, linestyle and hatching created in the legend will be the same as their colour number in LISCAD, unless AutoCAd "BYLAYER" or MicroStation "BYLEVEL" is selected in Output/Options.

NOTE: If AutoCAD "BYLAYER" or MicroStation "BYLEVEL" is selected in Output/Options, the layer, colour etc. of the symbols, lines styles, polygons and the respective descriptions will be as defined by the layer as set in Settings/Codes for the code of the first occurrence of each.

Hence a legend may be generated containing one occurrence of every type of symbol, line style and polygon hatching that is passed to the CAD file.

If the "Set for all codes" check box is selected in the legend dialog box, then all codes will be selected for inclusion in the table. Otherwise, the content of the legend is governed by the settings in the CAD Output/Settings/Codes command.

The exact nature of the dialog box depends on which CAD system has been selected for output in the CAD Output Settings menu (i.e. LISCAD CAD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation).

Symbols	Select whether symbols are to be included in the legend.
Size	Enter the size for symbols appearing in the legend.
Lines	Select whether line styles are to be included in the legend.
Length	Enter the length of lines appearing in the legend.
Polygons	Select whether polygon hatching is to be included in the legend.
Size	Enter the size for polygons appearing in the legend.
Layer	Set the CAD layer for LISCAD CAD or AutoCAD, except for items affected if BYLAYER is selected in Output/Options (See Note above). The layer may be up to 32 alpha numeric characters
Level	Set the CAD level for MicroStation, except for items affected if BYLEVEL is selected in Output/Options (See Note above). The layer may be 0 to 63
Table Colour	List the 256 colours that are available for selection to be used for the table lines that are output to a CAD system.
Line Weight	Set the line weight of the table lines that is output to a CAD system. For LISCAD CAD, the weight entered is the thickness of the line when plotted at the scale of the plan to be created. The value entered for weight depends on the Utilities/Configure/Units linear settings. For metres enter the weight in mm, otherwise enter the weight in inches. For MicroStation, enter a value from 0 to 7. Please refer to the MicroStation documentation. For AutoCAD, the line weight maybe selected ByLayer, ByBlock, the current AutoCAD drawing default line weight, or any of the predefined AutoCAD line weights available in the dropdown list. Please refer to the AutoCAD's documentation.
Set for all codes	Select that all selected objects will be included in the legend regardless of the settings in the CAD Output/Settings/Codes command.
Text	Select the output parameters for text.
OK	Close the dialog box and save any changes to the settings. The settings are stored in the currently open CAD Output Parameter file.
Cancel	Close the dialog box without saving the changes to the settings.
