(This functionality is available with the Input / Output module)
Defines the format and appearance of a grid which may be passed out to a CAD file via the CAD Output/Output command.
The exact nature of the dialog box depends on which CAD system has been selected for output in the CAD Output Settings menu (i.e. LISCAD CAD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation).
Grid Dialog Box
Item | Used to |
Format | |
Full | Select that the grid will consist of lines. |
Border | Select that lines will appear only around the perimeter of the grid. |
Symbol | Select that a symbol be placed at the grid intersections. This option is not available for a full grid. |
Default Symbol | Select the symbol to be used for the grid and specify its size. |
Edge | Select that edge ticks be placed at the grid intersections around the perimeter of the grid. This option is not available for a full grid. |
Size | Enter the size of the edge ticks. |
East Interval | Enter the grid interval for the east west direction. |
North Interval | Enter the grid interval in the north south direction. |
Layer | Set the CAD layer for LISCAD CAD or AutoCAD.
|
Level | Set the CAD level for MicroStation.
|
Colour | List the 256 colours that are available for selection to be used for the table lines that are output to a CAD system. |
Line Weight | Set the line weight of the table lines that is output to a CAD system.
For LISCAD CAD, the weight entered is the thickness of the line when
plotted at the scale of the plan to be created. The value entered for
weight depends on the Utilities/Configure/Units linear settings. For
metres enter the weight in mm, otherwise enter the weight in inches. For MicroStation, enter a value from 0 to 7. Please refer to the MicroStation documentation. For AutoCAD, the line weight maybe selected ByLayer, ByBlock, the current AutoCAD drawing default line weight, or any of the predefined AutoCAD line weights available in the dropdown list. Please refer to the AutoCAD's documentation. |
Labels | |
Label Grid | Select whether the grid is to be labelled. |
Label Inside | Set whether the labels are to be inside or outside the grid. |
Height | Set the height on a plan of the label text that is output to a CAD system. The units will be in millimetres or inches on the plan depending on the units set in the Utilities/Configure/Units command. |
Width | Set the width on the plan of the label text that is output to a CAD system. The units will be in millimetres or inches on the plan depending on the units set in the Utilities/Configure/Units command. |
Font | Set the text font of the label. The font is selected from a list box for LISCAD CAD. For MicroStation key in a legal font number. For AutoCAD key in a legal alpha numeric font name. Refer to the Font topic for further information. |
Colour | List the 256 colours that are available for selection to be used for label text that is output to a CAD system. |
Slant | Set the slant of the label text that is output to a CAD system. The slant is in decimal degrees measured clockwise from the vertical. |
