| Notes |
- To create the leader, ensure you are in insertion mode and the model is displayed in Plan view, then click in the model view at the location where the vertex is to be placed. A leader can have multiple vertices. Click End to create the leader.
- Click Abort or press Esc to discard the leader being constructed.
- The leader must be planar so you can only enter one height for all vertices in the leader.
- To return to insertion mode:
- Click in the Style box.
- Pick a vertex in the model view to fill the Height box with a value.
- Press the Tab key or Shift+Tab key to remove focus from a Height control in edit mode.
- Leaders are created on the active layer.
- Leaders created by freehand are not connected to text.
- Clicking a vertex from an existing object when creating the leader will use the same location as the vertex but will not share topology with the object.
- You can connect a leader, created by freehand, to text using the Modify Join tool.
- Update the leader style to update the appearance of all leaders using that style.
- In the Attributes tool, editing the leaders appearance properties clears the Update Appearance checkbox. Click the checkbox to update the appearance attributes with the current leader style settings. If the leader style is set to 'None', the leader is updated with the current layer display settings.
- In the Attributes tool, editing the Arrow Location clears the Update Position checkbox. Click the checkbox to update the position properties with the current leader style settings. If the leader style is set to 'None', the leader is updated with the current layer display settings.
- Leader appearance properties that are set to 'By Layer' are updated when the layer attributes are updated.
