Control Description
Name Type the name to assign to the created object or click Next auto incremented name to use the next available auto incremented name.
From Input the from vertex (V1) for the reference line.
Bearing Input the bearing from the From vertex of the reference line.
Offset Input the offset (D1) from the reference line.
From Input the from vertex (V2) for the distance.
Distance Input the distance (D2) from the second From point.
Height Method Select one of the following methods to input a height for the vertex:
Alternate solution Select or clear the checkbox to display the alternate solution.

Notes
  • A vertex is computed at the intersection of the offset from a line and the distance from a vertex.
  • Use during the creation of point and line objects.
  • A negative offset indicates the offset is to the left of the reference line.
  • Configure Distance Type and Direction Type in Unit Options.
  • The height is computed from the second From vertex.
