New Code Table

Creates a new Code Table.

The Tables/Code Table/New command is selected from the Utilities task.

Item Used to
Code table: Key in the name of the new code table to be created.
The name may consist of up to eight characters.
Code tables are created as files with a CTB extension and are stored in the user folder.
OK Create the new code table and display either the Code Table Editor dialog box or the Code Table Spreadsheet.
Cancel Close the New Code Table dialog box without creating a new code table.

Activate the Code Table Spreadsheet option.

Code tables contain a list of feature codes and associated attribute settings which are used to set the attributes of data imported into the system either from a field survey or from some other source. For definitions of the available attributes which may be set for each feature code, refer to the Code Table Editor and the associated attribute dialog boxes following.

Two code tables (ALPHAxx.CTB and NUMERICxx.CTB) are supplied with the system; refer to the Tables/Code Table/Open command to view or edit them.
