| Notes |
- When you create a leader by existing text, you can:
- Create a leader for a selection of linked text that has been moved - Select the text in the model view, then click OK to automatically create leaders for the text using the leader Style. The leader is drawn from the texts original insertion location to the selected text.
- Create a leader for a single text object - Click in the Object box then pick a single text object from the model view. Ensure you are in insertion mode then in the model view click the start point for the leader. Click the location of additional vertices or click OK to create the leader. If you use a style that includes a landing, the location of the start point will determine where the landing is drawn from.
- If the style includes a landing, the landing is drawn either perpendicular or parallel to the text.
- Click Abort or press Esc to discard the leader currently in construction.
- The leader is created at the same height as the text.
- When creating leaders automatically to a selection of linked text, only text that has been moved from its original position will have leaders created.
- To change the cursor from edit mode to insert mode click Insert.
- Click in the Style box.
- Pick a vertex in the model view to fill the Height box with a value.
- Press the Tab key or Shift+Tab key to remove focus from a Height control in edit mode.
- Leaders are created on the active layer.
- Update the leader style to update the appearance of all leaders using that style.

- In the Attributes tool, editing the Arrow Location clears the Update Position checkbox. Click the checkbox to update the position properties with the current leader style settings. If the leader style is set to 'None', the leader is updated with the current layer display settings.
