Description

Create or edit a layer and define its properties.

Home / Layer / Insert a new layer or Edit the active layer
Home / Tools / Layers / Manage Layers / New or Edit

Controls

Control	Description
General	Click the tab to define the actions on objects created on the layer.
Display	Click the tab to define the appearance of objects created on the layer.
Groups	Click the tab to group similar layers together.
Attribute Definitions	Click the tab to define the attributes that you can insert.

Notes

When a new layer is created, the General, Display and Attribute Definitions settings are inherited from the Layer Template.
Properties are used as a default when an object is created.
Object properties configured to By Layer use the current properties of the layer.
