Examine Terrain Model Height

Description

Display the height of the terrain model or the difference in height between a vertex's orthometric height and a terrain model.

Controls
Control Description
Terrain Model Input a terrain model.
Vertex Input the vertex.
Vertex Height Orthometric height of the selected vertex.
Terrain Model Height Interpolated height on the terrain model at the vertex's coordinates.
Difference Height The height difference from the vertex to the terrain model.
Terrain Model Grade Using the mouse, hover over a face of the Terrain Model to view the grade of the face.
Notes
  • Only vertices that overlap the terrain model can have a height computed.
  • If the Vertex box is clear and Plan view is active, the Terrain Model Height is interpolated using the coordinates of the mouse pointer.
  • If a user coordinate system is selected the difference in Z is displayed.
  • The terrain model grade value is cleared when a Vertex is input.
