Description

Display the difference in the coordinates between two vertices.

Requirements
  • Specify a coordinate system to view the difference in the geographic coordinates.
  • Specify a coordinate system and a geoid model to view the difference in ellipsoid heights.
Controls

The coordinate types displayed are determined by the Unit Options settings.

Control Description
Method Reference Line - Input the Reference Line.
From - Input the from vertex.
  • If you pick a line from the model view to fill the Reference Line box the vertices at either end of the picked segment are used.
To Input the 'To' vertex.
Difference Easting The difference in easting, displayed when you select 'Grid' as the coordinate type.
Difference Northing The difference in northing, displayed when you select 'Grid' as the coordinate type.
Difference Latitude The difference in latitude, displayed when you select 'Geographic' as the coordinate type.
Difference Longitude The difference in longitude, displayed when you select 'Geographic' as the coordinate type.
Difference Height Displays the difference in orthometric height.
Difference Ellipsoidal Height Displays the difference in ellipsoid height.
Slope distance Displays the slope distance between the two vertices.
Notes
  • If a user coordinate system is selected, the difference in X,Y,Z coordinates and the slope distance are displayed.
