The items displayed are dependent on the From and To object types.

Control Description
From Input the object to compute the 3 dimensional distance from.
To Input the object to compute the 3 dimensional distance to.
Clearance The shortest 3 dimensional distance from the From object to the To object.
From 2D Distance The reduced distance along the From line or pipe, to the location determined from the horizontal offset to the From coordinate.
From 3D Distance The slope distance along the From line or pipe, to the location determined from the 3 dimensional offset to the From coordinate.
From Easting The easting coordinate on the From object, where the clearance is measured from.
From Northing The northing coordinate on the From object, where the clearance is measured from.
From Height The height on the From object, where the clearance is measured from.
To 2D Distance The reduced distance along the To line or pipe, to the location determined from the horizontal offset to the To coordinate.
To 3D Distance The slope distance along the To line or pipe, to the location determined from the 3 dimensional offset to the To coordinate.
To Easting The easting coordinate on the To object, where the clearance is measured to.
To Northing The northing coordinate on the To object, where the clearance is measured to.
To Height The height on the To object, where the clearance is measured to.
Notes
  • Configure the Distance Type in Units Options.
  • You can measure the clearance between points, lines, polygons (triangular mesh), shapes or terrain models.
  • Clearance from or to a point is measured from the points vertex.
  • Clearance from or to a line is measured from anywhere on the line..
  • Clearance from or to a pipe is measured from anywhere on the edge of the pipe.
