Controls
Control Description
Code Select a code from the list of layers or type a new code.
Point Name Edit the name of the point.
Easting Edit the easting coordinate for the station.
Northing Edit the northing coordinate for the station.
Height Edit the orthometric height for the station.
Coordinate Class Edit the coordinate class for the station point.
Instrument Name of the instrument used.
Instrument Height Edit the instrument height.
Setup Method Select the setup method used to orientate the measurements:
  • Unknown - Method is unknown.
  • Known Azimuth - The azimuth to the backsight is known and contained in the first measurement for the setup..
  • Known Backsight - The coordinates to the backsight are known. The horizontal orientation is computed.
  • Unknown Backsight - An arbitrary point is created for the unknown backsight and measurements can be orientated by entering known coordinates at a later stage.
  • Resection - An angles only resection assumes the instrument is orientated
  • Resection Helmert - A resection is performed using a 7 parameter transformation.
  • Orientation and Height Transfer - The coordinates to the backsight are known. The horizontal orientation is computed and the measurements to the backsight are used to obtain a height for the instrument station.
Field Party Field Party who collected the measurements.
Notes
  • Process measurements to apply the changes and update the coordinates.
  • When editing codes, in the processing options, specify a layer lookup table to convert the list of layers to a list of codes used in the field.
  • The measurement status is modified when a measurement is edited.
  • Not all controls are editable to maintain data integrity.
  • Edit single observations only.
