Controls
Parameter Type Description
Maximum Side Friction Select the parameter set that defines the maximum allowable coefficient of side friction between the vehicles tyres and the road pavement at different design speeds.
Maximum Superelevation Select the parameter set that defines the maximum superelevation at different design speeds.
Transition Curve Requirement Select the parameter set that defines the maximum radius of the computed circular curve where transitions must be applied.
Minimum Transition Curve Length Select the parameter set that defines the minimum transition length at the design speed to build up the superelevation at an acceptable rate.
Maximum Deflection Angle Select the parameter set that defines the maximum deflection angle at a horizontal intersection point before a curve must be added.
Minimum Curve Length Select the parameter set that defines the minimum curve length required at different design speeds.
Notes
  • Use horizontal design standards when computing curves at alignment intersection points.
  • Sample horizontal design standards are provided in the LISTECH - Alpha template.
  • If you edit a horizontal design standard all alignments that use the standard are updated.
  • If you delete a horizontal design standard, all alignments that use the horizontal design standard will have their horizontal standard set to 'None'.
  • Editing or deleting a horizontal design standard which is used by an alignment on a locked layer may change the geometry of the alignment.
  • Use the Import Configuration tool, to import a horizontal design standard into an existing project or template.
