Description

Add, edit, delete and restrict the list of possible values for an attribute definition.

Controls
Control Description
Restrict to list Select whether values are to be restricted to those in the list.
Insert a new item Click to add a new item to the list.
Paste from the clipboard Click to add up to two columns of data to the list.
Delete selected items Delete the selected items.
Value Enter the value.
Name Enter a name for the value. (Optional)
Notes
  • If a Value has a corresponding Name then the name will be displayed throughout the application but the value will be stored in the project.
  • If Restrict to list is selected then only entries in the list can be selected for the attribute that uses the definition.
  • Only one name is permitted for any given value.
  • A blank value is permitted.
  • When Pasting values into the list:
    • Separate columns by tabs, and rows by CRLF. This is the format when cells are copied to the clipboard from Microsoft Excel.
    • When using Ctrl+V to paste, select the entire row to begin pasting to ensure the cell is not in edit mode.
    • Every row on the clipboard will be pasted, regardless of the number of rows you have selected.
    • When there is already data in the list that you do not want to overwrite, insert a new blank item at the end of the list,then select this new row and click Paste from the clipboard to ensure existing data is not overwritten.
    • Blank values will be pasted.
