The following controls are available for points, lines, polygons, blocks, shapes and terrain models groups.
| Control | Description |

| Create | Select the attribute creation option. (See options in table below) |
| Auto Increment | Select whether the attribute value is to be automatically incremented. |
| Default Value | Enter a default value for the attribute. |
When an object is created, attributes can also be created depending upon the selected Create option.

| Optional | Attribute can optionally be created by the user. |
| Mandatory | Attribute must be created when the object is created. |
| Fixed | Attribute is automatically created with the Default Value. |
- If Automatic Increment is selected the Default Value is automatically incremented each time an instance of the attribute is created.
- If a Mandatory attribute has a Default Value then the attribute is automatically created, otherwise the application will prompt to provide a value.
- The appropriate Create option is exported to Leica DBX Codelist, Leica FlexLine Codelist and Trimble Feature XML format files.
- Mandatory and Fixed attributes from the active layer appear in the Attributes tab in the Create tool.
- Mandatory and Fixed attributes cannot be deleted from an object.
