The following properties allow control of the import.
| General |
Description |
| Import to Active Layer |
Do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox to import the GPS data to the active layer.
- Clear the checkbox to import the GPS data to a new layer with the same name as .GPX file.

| Import Attributes |
Do one of the following:
- Select the checkbox to import all supported attributes.
- Clear the checkbox to import the name and description attributes only.

| Transformation |
If your project is not based on the WGS84 datum, select the transformation to be applied to the imported objects. |
| Lookup Tables |

Select the Layer lookup table to be used during the import. |
| Attribute Definition |
Select the Attribute Definition lookup table to be used during the import. |
| Plan Symbol |
Select the Plan Symbol lookup table to be used during the import. |

| Notes |
- Ensure a geocentric coordinate system suitable for the data is specified for the project.
- The name and description attribute are imported to the system name and description attribute defined for the layer.
- Name, description, type and time attributes are supported.
- Foreign symbol types are contained in the 'Sym' element in the GPX file. You can map the symbol to a project symbol using a Plan Symbol lookup table. If the symbol type is not found or it is not mapped to a plan symbol, the default symbol for the layer is used.
- You can specify a layer to be used as the template for any new layers created on import.
