Description

Define or select a user defined format for exporting points to a text file.

Controls

Use the following controls to select or save a group of settings.

Control Description
Name Enter the name of the configuration set.
Save configuration set Save the current settings in the selected configuration set.
Delete configuration set Delete the selected configuration set.

Configure the user defined export format.

Control Description
Format Select one of the following formats:
Fixed Width - Export a file with fixed width columns.
Delimited - Separate exported values by a Delimiter.
Delimiter For Delimited files, select the method used to separate values in the file.
Encoding Select the appropriate output for the characters you are exporting.
Write header Select the checkbox to include a header containing the column names.
Override default heights. Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to configure the height exported for two dimensional points.
  • Clear the checkbox to export the default height for two dimensional points.
Height Type the height to assign to two dimensional points when the Override default heights checkbox is selected.
Units Select the units the values are exported in.
Columns Configure the attributes exported:
  • Select the checkbox in the Active column to export an attribute.
  • Clear the checkbox to exclude an attribute.
  • Click Up or Down to move the selected row up or down the order.
  • Type the number of decimal places used to export each attribute.
Note:
  • Select 'Parent Id' to export the objects unique id. Select 'Unique Id' to export the objects vertices unique id.
OK Click to export the file.
Close Click to cancel the import but retain any saved changes to the Configuration Set.
Notes
  • Attributes are exported in the order displayed in the Name column.
  • At least one configuration set must remain in the list.
  • Use the ASCII encoding when exporting to LISCAD.
  • When most of the exported characters are not contained in the Latin Character set, it is recommended you use one of the UTF-16 encoding options.
