Create a point by averaging a selection of points.

Controls
Control Description
Name Type a name for the generated point or click Last name to increment to the next available name. See Naming Options below.
Add Click to add the points selected in the model view to the list.
Remove Click to remove the points that are selected in the list.
Fit in 3D Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to compute a 3 dimensional average.
  • Clear the checkbox to compute a 2 dimensional average.
Solve Click to preview the generated point in the model view and display the Offset.
List Columns
Control Description
Name The name or unique Id of the selected points.
Included Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to include the point in the average.
  • Clear the checkbox to exclude the point from the average.
Offset The distance from the averaged point to each point included in the calculation.
Note:
  • If you clear the Fit in 3D checkbox, these distances are 2 dimensional.
Notes
  • A point created from a two dimensional average is assigned the default height.
  • Use the computed Offset value to identify outliers.
