Break a CAD Line

Break a CAD line at a vertex.

• Follow the instructions in the status bar.
• Break a line at a vertex to form two lines.
• You can break straights, splines and rectangles. Circles and polygons cannot be broken.
• The created line inherits the layer and appearance attributes of the original line.
• If the vertex you select is the start or end of the line no action is performed. Rectangles start and end at the vertex in the bottom left corner.
• Click Break, Single or another CAD tool to exit the Break tool.
