From the Computations task, select the Create/Line command
and the Method/Dist/Offset Intersection command.

The OK Button creates the current point
and associated line segment.

The End Button ends the creation of
the current line and allows a new line to be started. The rubber
band ceases to be attached to the last created or selected point.
The next created or selected point will begin a new line.

The Elevation Control will only be
available if the elevation attribute is active.

There may be none, one or two possible solutions
for this algorithm. If there are two solutions, the Ambiguous Solution
dialog box will be displayed and the rubber band will be attached
to one of the solutions. Select the Reject button to toggle the
rubber band between the alternate solutions. Select the Accept button
to create the point and line segment at the currently highlighted
solution.
