Configures the precision and rounding for display and output of distances. Also configures the bracket type.
The Configure/Distances command is selected from the Utilities task.
You may use the Distances Configuration dialog box to make the appropriate selections. Distances will be displayed on the screen and in any output according to the selections made in the Distances Configuration dialog box.
You may change the Distances Configuration at any time. This enables you to view any data base with different Distance Configurations or to switch between Distance Configurations.
Use the appropriate radio buttons, combo boxes, buttons, data fields and check boxes to select your required options for the following:
- Brackets-type of brackets to be displayed
- Distance Precision- Precision of Distances.
- Distance Rounding 1- Rounding type 1 for Distances
- Distance Rounding 2- Rounding type 2 for Distances
- Distance Rounding 3- Rounding type 3 for Distances
Note that the options available in the combo boxes will depend on the Distance Unit type (Metres, feet, links) selected via the Configure/Units command.
Refer to the Distance Rounding dialog box topic and the Distance Rounding topic for further assistance.
Selecting the System button will save the current settings as the system defaults. The system defaults are the settings initially used when a new data base is created.
Click the OK button to change the Distances Configuration to that selected for the currently open project or click the Cancel button if you do not wish to change the Distances Configuration.
