The rounding or number of places to which distances are displayed and output, provided the Display Features Rounding option is set to on.
If this is set to off then the distances will be displayed according to the precision set in Configure/Distances command.
Three distance rounding types may be defined. Any of these rounding types may be assigned to particular distances thereby enabling different distances to be displayed at different roundings. For each distance rounding type, you may define four rounding values governed by the length of the line.
The distance rounding types are set using the Configure/Distances command located in the Utilities task.
- Example
- If the Configure/Units command has been used to select metre distance units,
- and
- the Configure/Distances command has been used to define rounding type 1 as:
distances less than | round to | trailing zeros | show decimal |
100 | 0.001 | No | No |
1,000 | 0.01 | No | No |
10,000 | 0.1 | No | No |
default | 1 | No | No |
then distances defined as rounding type 1 would display as follows:
Distance | Display | |
25.736 | 25.736 | |
152.532 | 152.53 | |
9,945.467 | 9,945.5 | |
52,367.764 | 52,368 | |
45.000 | 45 | |
45.100 | 45.1 |
