Template Editor - True Column

(This functionality is available with the Profiles and Design Module)

The Template Editor True column is a drop down list which has seven options. Just click on the True field to activate the drop down list.

Note that the True field will only be active if a name has been entered into the corresponding Intersecting Surfaces field.

Option Result
Nothing Both the offset, elevation and grade combination entered, and the resultant intersection point with the intersecting surface will be ignored. This is commonly used as a test to determine what should be done next and can then proceed to the next row of template instructions or optionally go to another row further down the instructions.
Store Offset & Elevation The offset, elevation and grade combination entered will be used to place a point in the template at this location. A line will be drawn from the last point in the surface to this point.
Move to Offset & Elevation The offset, elevation and grade combination entered will be used to move the last point in the template surface to this location. A line will be drawn from the previous point in the surface to this point.
Hold Probe Offset & Elevation The offset, elevation and grade combination entered will be used as a probe point. A dashed line will be drawn from the last point or the last probe point in the template to this point. This line will not form part of the surface but can be used to accumulate tests.
Store Intersection Point The resultant intersection point from the offset, elevation and grade combination entered and the intersecting surface will be used to place a point in the template at this location. A line will be drawn from the last point in the surface to this point.
Move to Intersection Point The resultant intersection point from the offset, elevation and grade combination entered and the intersecting surface will be used to move the last point in the template surface to this location. A line will be drawn from the previous point in the surface to this point.
Hold Probe Intersection Point The resultant intersection point from the offset, elevation and grade combination entered and the intersecting surface will be used as a probe point. A dashed line will be drawn from the last point or the last probe point in the template to this point. This line will not form part of the surface but can be used to accumulate tests.

Each time the True drop down list is changed the graphic display of the template will be updated to reflect the change.
