Previous Grade And Offset Grade of Previous Line and Offset.
Only the Offset field will be active in this row, the grade of the previous line in the template will be used in conjunction with the offset to compute the elevation.

The offset is always considered to be positive away from the reference point and negative towards the reference point. Offset values are always relative to the previous point in the template.

The elevation is always considered to be positive up and negative down. Elevations are always relative to the last point in the template.

Grades are considered to be positive when rising and negative when falling. The entry format of the grade is dependent upon the settings in Configure/Units.

The first row is always considered to be the location of the start of the template. If you want the template to start at the reference point then the Offset and elevation should both be set to 0.00 (default condition). Any other entry will shift the template to that position.

If the option of Grade of Previous Line and Elevation is used and the grade of the previous line turns out to be horizontal then the resultant offset and elevation will both be 0.00.

If the option of Grade of Previous Line and Offset is used and the grade of the previous line turns out to be vertical then the resultant offset and elevation will both be 0.00.

If you wish to use the reverse of the grade of the previous line then the offset or elevation should be entered as negative values.

Each time an elevation, offset or grade is edited the graphic display of the template will be updated to reflect the change.
