SetupSetout page

(This functionality is available with the Survey Live module)

Used to enter and display Total Station or GNSS setout information.

Note that different commands are available depending on whether Survey Live was last configured for Total Station or GNSS instrument type.

The Setout page is accessed from the Setout activity.

Item Used to
Point ID: Enter the Point ID for the next point to be set out.
Position Turn the instrument to the point specified in the Point ID field.
(Only available for Total Station instrument type, and only if the instrument is motorised)
Target Height: Enter the target height above the point.
(Only available for Total Station instrument type)
Antenna Height: Enter the antenna height above the point.
(Only available for GNSS instrument type)
PrismTarget Select the target from the Configure Targets page.
Note: The icon will change dependent on which target is currently selected.
(Only available for Total Station instrument type)
PowerSearchPowerSearch Initiate Power Search on the total station. This option is only available if the instrument is Power Search capable and will not be available if the configured Target is Reflectorless.

Elevation: Enter the elevation that you wish to set out. By default, the actual point's elevation will be displayed and this can be edited as required.
Note: This field is only available if "Show point elevation field" is checked in the Configure Setout page.
Elevation Offset: Set the offset to be applied to the elevation of the point being setout. A positive value moves the point up, negative moves the point down.
Move relative to: Display what you need to move "relative to" in order to arrive at the required setout position.
For Total Station instrument type, the options are Instrument (from target to instrument), Target (from Instrument to Target), North (from target) or South (from target).
For GNSS instrument type, the options are North or South.
You can set your desired option in the Configure Setout page.
Distance: Display the distance move required along the "relative to" direction (+ve toward, -ve away).
Direction: Display the angle from the "relative to" direction to the required setout position.  If you have the "Move relative to" option set as Instrument or Target, you will be on the correct direction when this value is zero. If you have the "Move relative to" option set as North or South, the bearing relative to North or South from the target (prism or GNSS antenna) to the setout point will be shown in this field.
Offset: Display the offset move required right or left of the "relative to" direction (+ve right, -ve left).

Fill:
Display the elevation move required as a cut or fill relative to the observed position.
