Editing a Code Table

This procedure is used to create a new code table or open an existing code table and edit it. Refer also to the Tables topic in the Concepts section of the help. You may obtain additional help by clicking the underlined topics. If you do select an underlined topic, you may return to this procedure by clicking the Back key.

  1. Select the Utilities task from the task menu.
  2. Select the Tables/Code Table/New command and enter a new code table name,
    or,
    Select the Tables/Code Table/Open command and select or enter an existing code table name.
    Note that selecting the "Table view" option will display the code table in a spreadsheet type editor.
  3. Use the Code Table dialog box or the Code Table Spreadsheet to:
    • Create any required new codes and edit the attributes associated with them.
    • Select existing codes in the table and edit the attributes associated with them.
    • Delete any unwanted codes from the table.
