This procedure is used to create new objects in the data base by your choice of computing method. You may obtain additional help by clicking the underlined topics. If you do select an underlined topic, you may return to this procedure by clicking the Back key.
- Ensure that the required data base is open.
Refer to the procedures for creating or opening a data base. - Ensure that units configuration is set as desired.
Refer to the procedure for configuring the units. - Select the Computations task.
- Use the Attributes
commands to set the required attributes for any objects to be created.
Alternatively, it is much faster to use the code lists in the Generic Toolbar to set the attributes. - Select the Create menu and then the object type that you wish to create.
- Select the Method menu and the appropriate method of creation that you wish to use.
- The appropriate creation dialog box is displayed and the prompt field in the information bar displays a message confirming the object type and creation method selected. Use the creation dialog box to create the objects.
